PINE, PEGS AND PRESSURE
Design and construction of room divider /
shelves for the Lala Tøyen office.
Two
vertical posts of solid pine stand between floor and ceiling, held in place by
the compression of the space itself. Shelf boards rest on round wooden pegs,
each one passed through a hole in the post and protruding on either side. No
glue, no fasteners — the boards sit by gravity, the posts by tension.
